郭玉劲，教授，博士生导师，华中师范大学数学与统计学学院院长，国家杰出青年基金及优秀青年基金获得者、中国科学院“百人计划”（优秀）入选者。主要研究非线性泛函分析中的变分理论及其在非线性偏微分方程、数学物理等领域的应用，先后在微机电系统MEMS方程、质量临界约束变分理论、量子多体系统分析等方面做出过一系列原创性科研成果。在美国数学会出版一部英文研究专著【Courant Lecture Notes in Math. 20】，在Comm. Pure Appl. Math.、Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.、Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.、J. Math. Pures Appl.、Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire、Proc. Royal Soc. London Ser. A、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、Nonlinearity、J. Funct. Anal.、JDE、CVPDE等数学期刊上发表50余篇学术论文。
报告摘要：
In this talk, we discuss ground states of Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-von Weizsacker theory with the Coulomb potential. We focus on the uniqueness and multiplicity of ground states in the large exchange energy limit. This is joint work with Bin Chen and Shu Zhang.
