报告摘要：

In this talk, we will give a brief outline of the theory of locales from the views of both algebra and topology. In particular, we will introduce some constructive results for locales. 

贺伟教授简介：

  1996年毕业于四川大学数学系基础数学专业，师从刘应明院士，获理学博士学位；1999.02-2001.02山东大学数学学院博士后；2004.09-2005.09英国剑桥大学数学中心访问教授。现任南京师范大学数学科学学院副院长，教授，博士生导师。

 主要研究领域：Locale理论、Topos理论、拓扑学（范畴拓扑学、一般拓扑学）、范畴论、格论、逻辑代数。

 在Locale理论中的逆极限构造和实值连续函数环的研究中，解决了著名的Isbell问题和Gelfand-Kolgormov定理的构造性证明等多个公开问题，其构造性方法被国内外同行学者多次采用，获得了国内外多名著名数学家的高度评价。1996年在科学出版社出版的《范畴论》是目前唯一的中文版范畴论著作。在Proc.Amer.Math.Soc.， Appl. Categor. Structures，Science in China, Ser. A，Algebra Universalis， Comment.Math.Univ.Aarolinae，Math. Proc.Camb.Philos.Soc. 等国际重要学术刊物上发表论文50多篇。现为国际刊物Advance in Pure Mathematics和 Current Advances in Mathematics编委(Member of Editorial Board)，Categories and General Algebraic Structure with Applications名誉编委（Honorary Associate Editor）。
